We are here to help
what we do
We support hundreds of carers across Greater Manchester by offering practical support, usually in the home, from a trained Carer Support Worker who ‘takes over’ their caring duties whilst they take a well earned break.
Carers need a break from time to time. Whether it’s to attend an appointment, do the weekly shop, spend time with other family members or by themselves. We help carers to do this, with the peace of mind that the person they care for is in expert hands.
Each year we deliver over 127,000 hours of respite care for carers and provide almost 700 families with practical and emotional support. We strive to enable carers to continue caring for their family member, friend or neighbour for as long as they wish, or are able to do so, by giving them proper and regular breaks.
We support carers of all ages and in Rochdale we also work alongside Rochdale Young Carers service.
